Hollow core extruder
UltraSpan’s hollow core extruders are engineered to deliver high-quality, dense slabs using an exceptionally dry concrete mix. These extruders utilize a zero-slump concrete with an optimized water/cement ratio, enabling curing times as short as six hours when using controlled curing methods. The efficiency of production not only boosts profitability by reducing maintenance costs and concrete consumption but also ensures that slabs are dimensionally precise, feature a superior finish, and achieve excellent bond with the strands. Additionally, the ability to produce longer spans with fewer steel strands further reduces manufacturing costs.
The EXT-400Si extruder stands out for its low maintenance requirements, a crucial factor in today’s economy. UltraSpan’s patented vibration system in the EXT-400Si features about 80 percent fewer moving parts compared to competitor models. The design also minimizes contact with the concrete and eliminates grease lines. This streamlined design leads to significantly lower operating costs, with maintenance expenses amounting to only a few cents per square foot. The adjustable vibration frequency of the EXT-400Si ensures optimal compaction and reduces waste caused by strand slippage, maintaining high performance and quality.
The extruder is a highly efficient casting machine for producing hollow core concrete slabs, offering low production costs. Its modular structure allows for quick changes between slab types, with transition times of less than 20 minutes.
